Nearby is the pretty village of Moelan sur Mer, with its 16th-century Saint Philibert chapel, and the picturesque ports of Merrien, Doelan and Brigneau. The local market is held on Tuesdays - a treat not to be missed, with an abundance of fresh produce on display and a superb array of locally caught seafood. The ancient city of Qumiper is well worth a visit, full of Breton charm with its cobbled streets, cathedral and museums. There are creperies and interesting shops to browse around, where the famous lacework and hand-painted traditional pottery can be found.
