Within the apartment itself, visitors walk into an entrance hall where a certain style is immediately established, from the parquet floor throughout the apartment, the antique furniture, and the large and interesting painting (by the owner’s brother in law) on the wall opposite the front door.
Immediately ahead of the entrance is the bedroom, a very pleasant room with double bed, nice furniture and a view across the roofs of Lucca from the window. The small passageway on from the entrance hall has the shower room and toilet on the left and then leads into the living / dining room. This is a most attractive room with beamed ceiling, paintings on the wall, simple (in the best sense of the word) antique furniture and the same view from the window as from the bedroom. All this not forgetting 2 sofas for relaxing one of which doubles as a sofa-bed.
The living room leads into a separate, well-equipped, ‘galley’ kitchen. This has well chosen features, like an original stone sink, pots and pans hanging on the wall and modern hob and oven.
Altogether Casa Flora is most attractive and is ideal for a couple or more who are looking to enjoy Lucca from an apartment that is also delightful in its own right. The stairs up are a relatively easy climb compensated for by having views across the roofs and belltowers of Lucca to the mountains beyond.
