Located on the highest point of the Island; between Ocean and Sea, "Tranquility" is close enough to hear the surf of the Ocean and the lapping of the Sea, The panoramic view of both, as well as the Island itself, is spectacular. It is accessed from the main road by a wooded path which leads directly to the house. The path continues past the house and 3 more minutes takes you to the 5 miles of white sand Ocean beach with it's wonderful snorkeling reefs. An even shorter walk South, brings you to the dock on the Sea. Here, one can keep a rental boat, swim and snorkel in the most beautiful water in the world. The shops, most of the restaurants, and the settlement itself are a 15-20 minute walk. However, both 'Dive Guan' and 'The Docksider' restaurant can be seen from the house, it is an easy walk and our favorite place.

No 'Club Med'; Guana is the ultimate relaxing vacation. A tranquil, unspoiled, Island 180 miles East of West Palm Beach. There is plenty of 'non-doing' and a bit of doing if you like fishing, snorkeling or swimming in beautiful water, unlike any other. One may linger over an unhurried dinner under the stars; explore the Island's 5 miles of spectacular white sand ocean beach and adjacent reef, swim from the dock in the Abaco Sea; or seek rare sea shells on nearby man-made Shell Island. Indeed, a bounty of activity is available on this tiny, yet largest Island, in the outer Cays that warmly welcomes one and all. But the best advice comes from a native, 'Just kick back and enjoy.'
